Hi, I'm Tayson O'Hara.
I run Stillbrook Portraits from Hankinson, North Dakota. It's a small shop that opened in September 2026, so when you write to us, you're writing to me.
I started it because ordering a portrait of your pet shouldn't be a gamble. Most portrait shops ask you to pay first and hope it looks like your dog or cat. Here you upload a photo, see the finished portrait for free, and only order it if it looks like them. If it doesn't, you can try again, switch styles or leave a note, and nothing is charged.
How your portrait is made
Your portrait is a digital illustration made from your photo with AI image tools, using instructions we wrote and tested for each style: Watercolor, Royal and Floral. Before anything is printed, I check it against your photo, looking at the eyes, the markings and the coat color. Then our print partner, Printful, prints it on gallery-wrapped canvas, as a framed print or as an unframed paper print, and ships it to you, with free standard shipping within the US. It isn't painted by hand, and I'll never tell you it is. You can read exactly how it's made, step by step.
If something isn't right
Write to hello@stillbrookportraits.com or text (901) 206-5976. I read every message and reply within one business day, and memorial orders get extra care. If a portrait arrives damaged or misprinted, it's replaced. If it doesn't feel like them, it's remade free within 30 days, and refunded in full if it still isn't right. The full promise is on our guarantee page.
Portraits of pets you've lost
Many people come to us for a portrait of a pet who has died. Memorial portraits are a soft watercolor, with the pet's name and dates beneath if you'd like them, and old or blurry photos are welcome. You can read more on our memorial portraits page.
Why "Stillbrook"
A still brook is a quiet place. I wanted a name that could sit on a gift box at Christmas and on a card beside an urn, and feel right in both.
The business
Stillbrook Portraits is run by Stillbrook Portraits LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company.
